Well, that’s another Oscar’s ceremony over and done with for another year…and we all knew that the writer’s strike was not going to affect anything going ahead did we?

But all the same this ceremony has started to become rather predictable in it’s results…basically who wins at the Bafta’s and Golden Globes are the same people who pick up the Oscar. Yawn. It would have been nice to have seen Julie Christie win the going for Best Actress seeing as she had gone and had her face done and all that. And I wonder what Daniel Day Lewis’ Irish countrymen will think of his kneeling to the ‘Queen’ Helen Mirren…all in fun though.

Hard to believe that Oscar will be 81 next year and I wonder if old Oscar will ever resort to a facelift himself ?

It would appear that upgrading the version of Wordpress to 2.3 has fixed the problem.

Well, that plus a bunch of fiddling around with the settings for the character set as, so far, none of the peculiar characters has reappeared either.
