Are the cheapo digital cameras good enough?
With Christmas not long off, many of us will be considering a purchase of a digital camera for a loved one, but which one?
For around £30/$50 you can get some quite nice cameras but they tend to be limited to fixed focus lenses and around 3mp. Still, if you’re currently using disposable cameras that’s a good price point to be looking at. They’ll give you photos at least as good as a disposable.
Whilst the serious camera people might well look down their nose at such a thing, in reality they’re quite an improvement on what many people are already using. Sure, you’ll not get massive prints from them but then few people produce anything larger than 5″x4″ anyway and at that price level you’ll get something quite capable of doing that.
So, yes, they are good enough for a lot of people.
